Brief description Laying material and deck of cards for the numbers in the 100 square
scope 100 cards (1-100), 17 additional cards, 1 cover card for the A5 storage box, 1 description
manual Recommended school level (s): 1st-2nd School level
Manufacturing: Laminate all sheets (recommended film thickness: 90-125 microns). Then cut out the cards individually
Pages not to be laminated: none
Pages or cards bound in a booklet: none
Content / curriculum reference: Orientation on the 100 board and in ZR 1-100
Possible uses: Use in free work, in individual work or in partner work and in groups (up to 9 players)
Preparations: To work with this material, the children also need:
A work carpet or a felt tray, a table
How it works: Laying material:
 1) Sort the animals by size (e.g. 10 snakes from small to large). If the cards are laid out in order (starting with 1) one below the other (9x10 cards and then the white cards with the numbers of 10 / the number of 100), then the complete 100 field is available at the end
 2) Along with this, the printed numbers can be discussed
 3) Use of the larger or smaller sign
 Card game:
13 cards are dealt to each player. (Note: there should always be at least 5 chick cards in the game. This will ensure that the game continues and can eventually come to an end.) The remaining cards are set aside. The player with the lowest card starts and places it in the middle. The next player places his own card on it. Condition: The number must be larger and must not be a card of the same color. One of the white special cards can also be played. However, this must show the same animal as the previously played card or the chick. If a special card is played, the player in question replenishes any other number card. He also has the option of playing any number of special cards (of any kind) beforehand.
If none of this is possible, the player must hold the cards in the middle. Then it is the next player's turn and plays any card. If a player runs out of cards, the game ends.
Experiences, tips, tips: 13 cards are proposed because it is difficult for the children to hold a large number of playing cards in their hands. However, there should always be enough white special cards in the game - at least 5 chick cards.
By appropriately selecting the cards, the number range can also be restricted in advance. Another possibility would be, for example, to take only every 2nd number. This leaves the ZR 100, but the number of cards is significantly reduced. ... creativity is required!
