A work rug or a felt tray
How it works: There are three ways to work with the material: In the first part, the children can either assign the number to the quantity picture or the picture to the number. In the second part, the children can handle loose pictures, count and assign them to the number. There is a motif for each number. In the third part, all 55 pictures are the same and can be loosely assigned to the numbers.
Self-control: For self-control there is a card showing the number and picture.
Experiences, tips, tips: The colors of the motifs (cuddly toys) are based on the colors of the Montessori pearl sticks.
The 10 number posters can be hung in the room. The children always have the number and its symbolic representation in mind.
With each number one of the cuddly toys is different (looks in the other direction). You can draw the children's attention to it or make a game of it: "Find the cuddly toy that is different!" ... or similar.
