Manufacturing: Laminate all sheets (recommended film thickness: 90-125 microns). Then cut out the cards individually
Pages not to be laminated: none
Pages or cards bound in a booklet: none
Content / curriculum reference: Add to 10
Possible uses: Use in free work, in individual work or in partner work and in groups (up to 4 players)
Preparations: To work with this material, the children also need:
A work carpet or a felt tray, a table
How it works: Card game:
The cards are laid out clearly in the middle of the game. Please note that the pages with the wild symbols are not visible. Each child now takes any card / number and places it in front of them.
On "Go!" let's go Everyone is playing at the same time and each child is trying to find a number as quickly as possible, which together with the present number gives exactly 10. When searching, the cards in the middle can also be turned over. Matching numbers are placed face down on the existing number. The two numbers (which add up to 10) lie directly on top of each other. It continues immediately. On the back of the card, which is now on the top, there is a new number, for which a suitable number has to be found again ... and so on. The stack grows. When all cards have been created or none can be created, the game round ends.
Jokers can be created or canceled instead of a number. However, only one joker card may be picked up at a time!
Self-control: After each game round there is a check. There are markings on the edges of the number cards. Numbers totaling 10 match each other exactly at these markings. (Consider your own rules of the game, what should happen in the event of errors, or whether and how the game round is evaluated!)
Experiences, tips, tips: Based on an idea by Ora and Theo Coster (game “PASST”, published by Piatnik)
Presentation material: 1 plastic box A5 (test:
 ) or 1 note box
