Age 4-5, 5-6, 7-11
Brief description The children get to know the seasons, months and days of the week. They lay the date with the appropriate loose cards. There are also special birthday cards that can be labeled with the name of the birthday child. Additional weather and thermometer maps are available for weather observations. Maps to the phases of the moon and the signs of the zodiac complete the material.
scope 1 cover card for the storage box, 1 description, card: 4 seasons, 13 months (January / January), 31 days, 4 years, 7 days of the week, 8 birthdays, 10 temperatures, 11 weather conditions, 14 zodiac signs (January / January), 8 phases of the moon
manual Recommended school level (s): Children's home, 1st-4th School level
Manufacturing: Laminate all sheets (recommended film thickness: 90-125 microns). Then cut out the cards one by one. If magnets are attached to the back, this material works well in conjunction with a magnetic board. The cards can also be presented in a slot
Content / curriculum reference: Seasons, names of months and seasons, weather, zodiac signs, phases of the moon
Possible uses: In freelance work, in individual or group work, in class, projects on the annual cycle and on the subject of time, as a calendar
Preparations: The children need to work with this material: riser or magnetic board
How it works: The cards are exchanged daily by the children assigned to do so. If a booklet is enclosed, the date, weather, moon phases, ... can be documented in it. Depending on age or interest, it can be varied by adding cards (temperature, zodiac signs, ...) or giving them away
Self-control: -
Experiences, tips, tips: The “perpetual calendar” can be easily combined with the “calendar material” and the “annual circles” from ws-montessori. These materials use the same symbol colors for the seasons and months.
Free downloads on the subject of "seasons" at:
www.lernmaterial.at - the current dates of the “Perpetual Calendar” will also be found there.
