Pages not to be laminated: none
Pages or cards bound in a booklet: none
Content / curriculum reference: Grammar, parts of speech, vocabulary expansion
Possible uses: Use in free work, in individual work or in partner work.
Preparations: To work with this material, the children also need:
A work carpet or a felt tray (writing things, clay or plastic ducks to recreate the situations would be nice!)
How it works: The prepositions play the main role in every sentence. This is highlighted during work and marked with the appropriate symbol. The children read the sentence card, recreate the situation with “pond” and ducks, and then build the sentence with the individual word cards. Then they place the part of speech part for preposition on the set card. Finally, write down the sentence, again marking the preposition.
