Brief description The core of this material is a CD-ROM. The children can look at pictures of all letters of the alphabet and have their terms displayed and auditioned in 3 (4) different languages. The terms were chosen so that they start with the same initial letter in the different languages. The card material can be used to accompany it
manual Scope: The material consists of 26 picture cards (motifs for the letters AZ) and 4 word cards each in the languages: German, English, French and Italian (some terms are missing in Italian!)
There is also a CD-Rom including a cover for the CD box
Recommended school level (s): no indication of age
Manufacturing: Sheets 1-11 should be laminated (recommended film thickness: 90-125 microns).
The picture and word cards must be cut out individually.
Pages not to be laminated: Sheet 12, which contains the cover for the CD box.
Pages or cards bound in a booklet: none
Content / curriculum reference: The assignment of terms to picture cards, whereby the sound of the same term in other languages is particularly important.
Possible uses: As part of letter development, first reading or foreign language lessons.
On the enclosed interactive CD you can click through the letters and pictures and listen to the corresponding word in 3 (4) languages. (The speakers are “native speakers”!)
The different speech melodies are really interesting and actually make this material a sensory material
Preparations: Computer with CD drive, sound card and boxes or headphones
How it works: The children see and listen to the terms in different languages on the PC. You can then use the laying cards, write down the terms or record them yourself with a microphone
Self-control: Self-control is given by the initial letters, the colors of the different languages, or the CD-Rom
Experiences, tips, tips: The content of the CD-Rom can be copied to the hard disk. The CD does not need to be inserted afterwards! Now simply put a link to the Start.exe on the desktop (icon is included) and start.
The interactive program was created with the "Mediator" software.
The catalog included in the ABC program is out of date - year 2000!
