Copy the master copy onto colored cardboard, laminate it, cut out the 7 parts of the tangram and store it in a sachet or box. Copy the template onto colored cardboard, do not laminate and make it available to the children as "handicraft material".
Pages not to be laminated: none
Pages or cards bound in a booklet: none
Content / curriculum reference: Here the child gets to know geometric figures.
 The spatial imagination is trained
Possible uses: Use in free work, in individual work or in partner work
Preparations: To work with this material, the children also need:
A work carpet or a felt tray, possibly a wooden tangram (a wooden tangram that exactly matches this file is available from Prüfl!), Paper, glue and scissors for your own booklets or figures
How it works: The children lay a tangram figure using the card template. Then you can cut out the tangram parts and add the paper figure to the figure you just placed and then stick it in a booklet. Depending on the spatial imagination, one or the other side of the index card is used. Of course, the children can also invent their own characters and then record them in their booklets.
Self-control: Self-control is carried out by the material itself (index cards)
Experiences, tips, tips: The Schmidt company carries out colorful tangrams in Germany. They are also available in transparent
colors for the overhead projector:
www.schmidt-lehrmittel.de In the download area of ws-montessori there is a small program with which you can create your own tangram figures or recreate pre-defined figures.
If a tangram square with a side length of 7cm (Prüfl) is used, the individual parts can be placed exactly on the figure on the index card, which makes the solution easier.
