The square shape aids hand-eye coordination. The task is to thread the triangular wooden discs onto the peg or remove them from the peg.

The square fit aids eye-hand coordination. The task is to thread the triangular wooden discs onto the stick or remove them from the stick. This is made more difficult by the fact that the wooden stick has small knots, which require the discs to be turned in order to move them further. The child must coordinate their hands and the wooden disc according to what they see in order to achieve the goal. This material is a more difficult version of the materials ‘Rings on Vertical Stick’, ‘Cubes on Vertical Stick’ or ‘Coloured Rings on Coloured Sticks’.
