Montessori materials are NOT toys, but educational materials. Proper use requires appropriate training.
Montessori materials may contain small, rough, sharp, or other elements that could cause injury or damage if used improperly.
It may therefore only be used by children under the supervision of appropriately trained persons and in an appropriate environment.
A wooden board (50 x 25 x 2.5 cm) that is separated in half by a partition with an opening for the ball. This partition can be removed. The child puts the ball into the opening and the ball disappears backwards. The skills of the hand and wrist are encouraged. Gross motor skills are also practiced here because the child always crawls to the other side of the partition to see where the ball has gone. Playing with two children is also possible; the children sit across the wooden board and the ball is then passed back and forth into the opening.
