Serves as a gripping exercise for children. It is easy for an adult to take an egg or ball from an egg cup. It is not easy for a child. The egg is often not a problem as it is larger and more tangible. The ball offers too little space to take it out with the bare child's palm. The children have to learn to take the entire object and separate it by turning.
