Based on a soft ball designed in Japan, the Montessori grasping ball is an easy-to-grasp, structured fabric ball with a diameter of about 15 cm. It consists of 12 wedge-shaped cushions that are sewn and filled with soft filling (9x5x5 cm) and then connected at the ends, creating triangles. A bell is attached to the bottom of this ball. The Montessori grasping ball was developed to stimulate leg movement and produce repetitive sounds, and it is hung on a strap near the baby's legs and feet at a height where it can be easily kicked by the child.
