Preparations:
To work with this material, the children also need:
A work carpet or a work table, the number cards, the golden pearl material, the Montessori material "brand game", colored pencils, pencils
How it works:
The children work through the index cards one after the other.
Calculate from the concrete to the abstract - from the known to the unknown ... pearls are known - brands are compared and assigned to them by adding and subtracting them by pulling brands together and taking them away.
Laying the number cards or writing down the numbers and calculations are the next level of abstraction. A copy template is available to the children. Here you can write down the bills you have made or "invent" new ones.
Self-control:
The solutions and the intermediate results are on the back of the index cards.
Experiences, tips, tips:
The brand game is usually introduced after working with the golden pearl material and creates the transition to the calculation framework or to the written calculation method.pages47leaves26Brief descriptionArithmetic file for an introduction to working with the "brand game"; Additions and subtractions without changing categories and with changes; Exercises; Form for "inventing" your own invoices as a template;manualScope:
