The first edition of this document was published in English in 1914 under the title “Dr. Montessori's Own Handbook ”. In this, Maria Montessori emphasizes in a preliminary remark that this font is the only authentic and authorized manual of the Montessori method. The aim of the book is to give a concise presentation of your educational concept that is suitable for putting it into practice. The practice of Montessori pedagogy with its exercises and materials therefore takes up a lot of space. A German translation of this document appeared in 1922 and again as a second revised edition in 1928 under the title "My manual - principles and application of my new method of self-education of children".
