The board game Kikkerbecool!

This is a beautiful game where you learn for everyday life. Answer the questions on the cards to earn tokens!

Strain your brain and think about what a “cool frog” would answer. A "cool guy" can handle other children well, but also stands up for himself, he has good manners and doesn't let the teasing and nonsense bother him.

The game

2 to 6 children can play this game independently with a minimum of instruction. But it is even nicer when the whole class plays along; eg in 6 groups of 5 children each. Then they can think together which answer they give and act out a situation in the form of a small play. Some then play, for example, those who bully and someone else shows how he / she would react.

The game can be played by children from around 7 years of age, but 5th and 6th grade students and older students also find it great to discuss the various topics with one another.

Playing time: 20-45 minutes or longer.

The game represents a journey through the sea, on the way to the cool frog, which is lying comfortably on the beach. While facing storms, lavishing across shoals of sharks and crocodiles, jumping over the hippopotamus bridge, and questioning the volcano's oracle, answer the questions on the red, green, yellow, or blue cards read by the other children, and this is how you can earn your tokens! At the bottom of the cards there is a possible answer in small print that can help you, but you can also come up with another idea that will then be rewarded with a token! The one who arrived at the cool frog first won, but after that you will of course help a friend who has not yet come this far! The one who won the most tokens won. Kikkerbecool! can also be played with preschoolers.

It is a nice variant to play the game with a whole group of children who can not read yet. Slide 4 tables together on which the board game is lying and let the children sit around in a circle around the game. The teacher chooses the route. The children can take turns throwing the dice and moving their game pieces. The teacher then reads a card and the children who know the answer are allowed to show. Then the children can say their answer in turn or play together what they would do in each situation.
