Montessori materials are NOT toys, but educational materials. Proper use requires appropriate training.
Montessori materials may contain small, rough, sharp, or other elements that could cause injury or damage if used improperly.
It may therefore only be used by children under the supervision of appropriately trained persons and in an appropriate environment.
The perception of temperature differences is developed with the help of tablets made of different materials and thus different thermal conductivity. The material consists of a box with six compartments measuring 11 x 10 cm, in which there are six times two tablets made of different materials such as: felt, beech wood, marble, iron, glass and cork in the size of 8 x 4 cm . The child places his hands lightly on two tablets and thereby experiences the difference or the correspondence of the thermal conductivity of the individual materials.
