Monument Box – Montessori Material for the Monuments of the Continents
The Monument Box is a high-quality Montessori learning material that allows children to independently discover, name, and categorize significant landmarks of the continents The material supports Cosmic Education and enables a holistic engagement with monuments, continents, and geographical-cultural contexts.
For each of the seven continents two typical landmarks were selected. The images of the monuments are depicted on robust wooden boards and are included in two didactically coordinated versions . In the first version, the child works with
picture cards without labels and matches the loose name cards made of wood . In the second version,
picture and name are combined , so that the child can independently check their matching. This supportsautonomous learning and self-control , central principles of Montessori pedagogy.Additionally, the set includes
18 realistic monument figures made of high-quality plastic .Working with three-dimensional material promotes the accurate observation, the understanding of concepts and sustainable learning.
All components are clearly organized in a stable storage box made of beech wood accommodated. The wooden boards and name tags are stored in transparent plastic boxes with lids that each have their own compartment in the wooden box.
The The inside of the lid serves as an integrated , central principles of Montessori pedagogy.: The landmarks are color-coded by continent. The color scheme corresponds to the colors of globe continents and puzzle map continents (sold separately) and allows for easy combination of the materials.
A suitable addition to this material is the continents made of felt, on which the monument figures and wooden boards can be assigned to the respective continents.
