These three flashcards are also designed for rapid reading. The playful approach is intended to help children expand their sight word vocabulary. The more words a child recognizes 'at a glance' without having to sound them out, the more fluently they can read. Better reading fluency enhances reading comprehension and enjoyment. All rapid reading flashcards build on each other. The words get longer from card to card. When reading compound words, the child playfully trains their ability to segment words, breaking them down 'at a glance' into the individual words contained within and thereby understanding them.
