The material serves as an introduction to the basic tasks of subtraction from 18 -9 to 1-1.
It also allows adding and subtracting in the range of whole numbers.

The snake game for subtraction is used to show children how to subtract numbers, even beyond number range 10.
The pearl sticks are prepared according to the task and lined up in a line. The black and white pearl sticks are said to be helpful when swapping onto a tens rod. The gray pearl sticks represent the amount of subtrahends and are subtracted ("ridden back"). Then the pearl stick snake is counted with the tab and always exchanged after 10 individual pearls on a golden tens rod or if necessary deducted. The black and white pearl sticks can be used to help.
