The balance bike is a gentle and entertaining introduction to cycling and a great way to develop a child's sense of balance and coordination before they start pedaling. With its low step-through, it is easy for toddlers to mount and allows for independent riding faster than with training wheels. Children ride by pushing their feet against the ground in a gliding motion. The contact with the ground gives the child a secure and easy start and instills in them the confidence to do more. They learn to balance, turn, and steer intuitively while being less prone to falls. It is said that children who start with balance bikes transition to bicycles more easily and also feel more secure on them.
