With the 'Math blocks', the next step can be taken after the concrete splitting of numbers. With the arithmetic rods, numbers up to ten can be divided or added in a comprehensible way. For example, the rod of 5 is as long as those of 1 and 4 or as long as those of 2 and 3, and so on.
