Sort by seasons and learn their characteristics. Make sure to look at the theme plates closely. Which seasons do you recognize? Explain your observations.
Now take the image cards, name then, and place them with the correct season. For each, explain why this specific card belongs to that season. Note that the image cards differ in difficulty. In fact, a number of the images are identical on the theme sheet. For example, consider the blossom in spring and flip flops in summer. Other images correspond to a certain season as well, but pose more of a challenge. Examples are sowing in spring and an ice cream truck in summer.
Together, discuss the reasons why a card corresponds to a specific season.
